Hello everyone. This is just a development update, so you guys know what's going on. First off, we just moved about a month and a half ago, so things have been pretty busy. Dave is at work alot so he hasn't had as much time to work on the site. Plus, us having a baby on the way (January 25th) is keeping him away from it even more.
Right now, there is a good piece of Sidebreak finished. It's not anywhere near ready though. In fact, a lot of the current functions aren't available. Dave is working on making the code more "efficient" and the site more user friendly. At the moment we can't really tell you everything that is being done, or all of the features but we can let you know about some of the improvements and planned changes:
Remember Me
Many sites have it, and Sidebreak will, too. You can log in and come back days later still logged in.
Share My Favorites
You'll be able to add blog posts and pictures from profiles you visit as a favorite of yours, which other people can see and visit from. It's going to help spread content around.
My Stats
You'll be able to view statistics about your account and your profile.
Interact
We keep mentioning it, and nothing has shown up yet. Why? Because it's part of the big change. It was supposed to be added into the original site, but things got really busy for us and it wasn't able to happen. So, rather than include it into this one, we're putting it in the new one.
Now, we have talked about it before, but don't think it's going to be something life changing. It won't change the web as we know it. It's just a few things we want to do to make you guys have more interaction with the site and each other, and have some fun at the same time.
Alright, that's about all we can tell you right now. Dave is working on it, as well as another venture he's popped out of his head. It's a freelancing web site for freelance web developers, designers, print designers, and system administrators to sell their services to people needing...well, their services. Right now, it's just a forum. He set it up yesterday, so don't expect a billion posts and nine hundred thousand members. It's just Dave right now. Sidebreak is his main focus. :)
